Haven Bay Elementary announced the introduction of Monica Widdison as the school's new Administrative Apprentice on August 23, 2026. Widdison, known to students as Mrs. Widdison, joins the leadership team with 18 years of experience in the Weber School District.
Widdison's tenure in the Weber School District includes 14 years teaching fourth, fifth, and sixth grades, along with four years serving as a Digital Teaching & Learning Specialist. She previously served at Municipal, Country View, and Freedom elementary schools.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Early Childhood and Science, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Weber State University. She holds endorsements in Educational Technology and ESL, as well as Elementary and Administrative licenses.
Widdison stated that she enjoys seeing student excitement during learning moments and collaborating with other educators. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys camping, reading, and spending time with her family.
Widdison's professional experience includes a focus on supporting students, staff, and families through her various roles in the district.
