Strong, shifting winds fueled the growth of the Slough Canyon Fire in nearly every direction, with fire officials estimating it has burned 2,700 acres in Grand County. The Slough Canyon Fire, which was first discovered on Aug. "The fire is burning in a remote area just over 40 miles east of Price, and is currently 0% contained.
